We’re having another Christmas this weekend. My mom’s entire “local” family is coming down for our annual get together. I am so excited. My mom has graciously decided to host it at her huge house, but since I am the coordinator, I feel it is my duty to supply the good stuff. Everyone is bringing something, but this recipe from Betty Crocker keeps catching my eye and making me drool…
I am totally looking at serving some up at the Christmas gathering–well, for the kiddos at least. My aunt makes a mean mudslide I’m hoping she’ll offer up too.
So, here’s what you need to know:
Prep Time: 5 min Total Time: 15 min Servings: 4-5
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1/2 c brown sugar
- 1 pint cookie dough ice cream
- 5 c water
- Whipped Cream
- Mini chocolate chips
- 1 c Cookie Crisp cereal
1. In a 3-qt. saucepan or large pot, whisk together butter, brown sugar, and ice cream over medium-high heat until melted. Add the water; cook and stir mixture until steaming.
2. Serve in mugs, topped with whipped cream, mini chocolate chips, and cookie crisp cereal.
Man, I can’t wait to try it out!!
