BSOW: Of Alice and the Little Bird

It’s time to share the ice cream again. This week features another blogger dealing with the special needs of a unique child. She’s a positive and very active mother who finds peace in the mere seconds of a stoplight no matter where she is from.

She knows the woes of the invisible disabilities and keeps her game face on.

Make sure you bring your tissues too. She’s got some heart-tugging proud mommy moments that will definitely wet your eyes, especially when she reaches out to another member of her elite community.

This week’s very inspiring Best Scoop of the Week is none other than Dani of I’m Just That Way and That’s Just Me.

I'm Just That Way and That's Just Me

Dani is here introducing herself to you by answering the question:

“If you could be any character from a fictional book, which character would you be and why?”

She says:

Alice from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland
Lewis Carroll

“Forget the fact that technically, Alice is only seven years old. Seven! Alice is completely fueled by curiosity but still very logical. She begins running into all kinds of crazy and scattered folk but pretty much keeps her cool throughout. Even though she is offended by the rudeness of others around her, she is still polite and respectful. In fact, she’s kind and courteous to everyone- no matter who they are, what they look like, or whether they’re a caterpillar atop a giant mushroom smoking a hookah (what? it could totally happen). She just keeps moving forward with grace to get to the place she calls home.”

What an amazing response. I’m an Alice in Wonderland lover too. So, what are you waiting for? Go on, head on over and check out her blog, and take a whole box of tissues with you. Leave Dani lots of the good ol’ poop talk too. She really likes it. 😉

Happy weekend, friends!
